Xiaomi is expected to produce a flagship phone with UWB and under-display camera

According to a report from leaker Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi would release a flagship phone similar to Xiaomi MI 11 Ultra. According to a Weibo article, the new flagship will feature UWB (Ultrawide band) tracking technology and a selfie underdisplay camera.

UWB is already included in the latest flagship handsets of Apple and Samsung. The Samsung SmartTag and Apple AirTag are the most suitable technologies for accurate tracking of the S21 and iPhone 12. Xiaomi might try to release UWB-compatible trackable accessories.

In current implementations, the camera under-display is still not acceptable, since the display is not transparent enough to pass light. The issue might be solved with a switching prism, according to the Google patent.

The Xiaomi flagship should have at least as high a camera setup as if not better than Mi 11 Ultra configurations. In addition, the Gadget can allow quick charge of 120W and high wireless charge of 70W.

A flagship smartphone like this may not necessarily succeed a Mi 11 Ultra, but instead the Mi10 series, according to the Phone Arena.
