Microsoft will say goodbye to Internet Explorer and the legacy Edge in 2021

For the past 25 years, Windows users have used Microsoft Internet Explorer, but the browser has been plagued by issues.

Furthermore, modern browsers such as Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox provide users with a better browsing experience using modern technologies, which is why Microsoft launched a modern browser in 2016.

The Edge browser further reduces the popularity of Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer is no longer used.

That’s why, in an official blog post, Microsoft stated that Edge would eventually replace Internet Explorer as the default browser, with support ending in August 2021. The Edge browser can be used for all of Microsoft’s other software.
